Hello I just got my first Thai constellation about a few days ago. I noticed some roots coming out of the bottom, should I repot this right away ?

Personally, I like to look at root health when I first bring home new plants because I’d rather find issues right away than in a couple weeks when the plant has acclimated. I think she’ll be fine if you unpot it and take a look at what’s going on with the roots. If it does look pretty rootbound, then you can gently untangle some of the bottom roots and put it in a pot 1-2 inches bigger than it’s old pot. Thais do really well in chunky, well-draining media, as they can be prone to root rot if their feet are in wet media for too long. I keep mine in a mix of 1/3 cactus mix, 1/3 coco husk, and 1/3 large grade perlite. Happy planting!

be careful with the roots when you do repot, any break or damage to the roots creates an opening for disease, and these plants are already very prone to root rot
