Hola hola! I got two large monsteras delivered and sadly they were treated unkindly in transit :’( Some of the leaves are completely smashed up and some of the stems are bent right at the base of the leaves. I’d like to give them the best start on life in their new home. Tips for me? I live in the PNW and also got some grow lights, but they’re by windows. How much light is too much light? Any wisdom is welcome- I’m new to these types of plants & a new plant parent generally. Gracias!

Hola and welcome! That is normal leaf damage from packing and shipping. If the seller did not give any instructions for watering or acclimating the plant. I would suggest googling it or give them a few weeks to adjust. Monsteras are a relatively easy bunch of plants and are fun to grow. Typically they don’t need added humidity but in the PNW they may need extra warmth. There is a general consensus here that the Planta app may (not saying it will) have you over water the plant. You will know it best so water it by weight (pick it up if possible) or by soil wetness. Meters may or may not be reliable. You will find what is right for your indoor space. Happy gardening!
