Margaretš±š¤that is the spot where your plant has pushed out its leaves! it turned yellow because the stem has left the casing where it was made and thatās simply the leftovers. i usually remove it but you donāt have to :)

Plant Fatherthe yellow/brown part is the dried sheath, itās nothing to be concerned about, it just means the humidity in your home isnāt high enough for it to stay alive and green
