found this growth on my mini monstera yesterday. today, it’s considerably shorter and a bit blackened at the tip. anyone have any idea what this is? thanks!

It looks like an aerial root! My monsteras have them too

Ariel root for support. They’ll grow really big and sometimes even grow up out of the pot. Some people trim them. I have not because mine have been a great support to my girl
