Well, I got her a grow light that isn’t purple. Its super bright-meter said about 3.4 DLI . How far away from it should she be? I took her off of the little stand because she was touching the bulb. I did order a hanging lamp but in the meantime… also has a humidifier there. The whole room actually looks a lot sunnier. Should I leave her alone in her corner or should I put a couple of other plants with the same needs near her? It looks purple on camera but it’s super bright white.

Putting some other plants near her would increase humidity which would be great, but really it’s up to you! it looks great!

I just wonder if she will grow “into” another plant lol

Dumb question but is white light better than purple? Looking into getting my first grow light for my succulents

Personally, I just don’t like looking at the purple all day :)

That’s a great spot. I would add more plants so they can take advantage of the light and humidity.

I have my fiddle leaf fig and my Zz raven there but not 100% sure Zz should be in the grow light? Or should it be my Xanthosoma?

You have to see which plant does well and how you like the look. Maybe a lone monstera is perfectl. My Xanthosoma is 2 feet from a north facing window getting 2 hours of filtered sunrise. It’s doing great. It could live in the shade under the monstera. I can’t speak about the ZZ plant.

I would say the light should be about a foot away from the plant. The way you have it in the pic looks good. You can leave it on its own or add more plants around it, it’s up to you! I love the statement look of a huge monstera by itself

I do too! I’m going to get my fiddle leaf fig his own grow light. It really enhances them. Plus, he can use all the light he can get :)

A foot is kind of close. You don't want to run the risk of burning the plant. Monsteras burn in direct sunlight, which I know is different from a grow light but I'd still be cautious not to overdo it.

If it’s been acclimated it’s fine. That’s how one of my Monsteras is and my other gets direct sunlight outside on my deck every day and it has never burned 🙂
