hi everyone, i have a question. i’ve never had a monstera before and want to get one for my apartment. i know they have high humidity needs, but i don’t want to get a humidifier. would misting it frequently be enough for it to stay happy?

I’m using an oil diffuser without the oil and have it pointed at just her. I’ve been reading to see if I could use some oils in it near her.
3 Mi piaceI never mist mine, don’t have a humidifier, and they’re thriving. Just stick to a good watering and fertilizing schedule, make sure you have them in a pot with well-draining soil (with added perlite, orchid bark, charcoal, etc) and it’ll be just fine.

beautiful!
0 Mi piaceI have grown this monster from a wee baby for the past year and a half in regular household humidity (40ish%). I stopped misting about a year ago. She would probably love more humidity, but she’s doing ok…
