One of the aerial roots on my monstera has a node, can I successfully propagate it but cutting the root and putting it in water?

    It’s a root node not a leaf node. Unlikely to sprout a leaf. You can try propagating that root to see what happens.

    a root on its own won’t grow, you need an actual stem node, capable of growing more stem, leaves, and roots. it should have a leaf and root attached
