Best store bought soil for a monstera? Use a cactus mix or tropical plant mix? Also, is a terra cotta pot ok? New plant mom here! Thanks!!!

    i’d recommend an orchid mix, or mix 1 to 1.5 parts potting soil with 1 part perlite (soaked to remove the dust) and 1 part fir bark chips (usually sold as “orchid bark”). these mixes provide lots of aeration and some amount of moisture retention, perfect for many climbing species
