Question from a new-ish plant mom, my monstera seems to be growing roots above the soil? At least I think it’s a root? Can somebody tell me what is going on and how to fix this (if needed?)

They are completely normal. Monsteras are climbers and use aerial roots (which is what those are) to do so. They can be trimmed back or guided towards the soil. It’s a good idea to give it a moss pole to trellis to climb.

Yes. You might need to attach it with plant ties so it learns.

The aerial roots won’t likely attach to the moss pole, so you’ll need to secure the main vine of the plant to the pole. This is a pic of mine for reference â˜ș
