I have realised that my monstera is in a too big pot, and that’s likely why I’m not getting big gorgeous fenestrated leaves. I don’t want to cause any damage by repotting haphazardly, but I will repot to a smaller pot if it’s what is best for the plant. What do you think, wise plant parents?!

I think you know what your doing by repotting into a smaller pot.Your monstera is beautiful though 🫶

Thank you! It turns out that the roots were tiny, so I hope that this new pot allows it to thrive without all that unnecessary space and soil.

Girl I’m in the same boat! It’s time to repot mine because it too does not have enough fenestrations

I just repotted and the roots were tiny! Definitely needed a much smaller pot. Fingers crossed it does the trick.

I think you're on the right track. Bug plant doesn't always mean big pot. Sometimes those roots like to be swaddled. I always assume they want room to spread out, but more often that exactly what they don't want.
