I need advice! I repotted my monstera when I got it in April of this year in a pot two inches bigger than it had (12in pot). I recently noticed this root growing out the bottom and I’m not sure if I need to repot again or cut the root off or what I need to do, I just don’t want it to die! All and any advice is appreciated😊

    You can repot, but also if necessary trim roots. One is more commonly suggested whilst the other not so much noir recommend, but can be done with little to know complications. Just be careful with root trimming as anything connected to that part of the system will most likely be affected, so if you do cut roots may loose a leaf or few.

    I’ve also heard that monsteras can grow out of the pot a bit; it’s not an urgent thing to repot it

    in my experience monstera like to be a little rootbound, so i just push stray roots back into the soil through the hole it came out of. i only repot if her growth has slowed or the soil has compacted
