what is this??? this is my swiss cheese plant but the older leaves are all starting to get this and i don’t know if it’s sun damage or root rot??? help 😭

    If it’s crispy it’s likely sun damage, if it’s soft I would worry about root rot.

      they are soft, how do i solve root rot?

    Take the plant out and look for mushy roots, trim them, put it in new well-draining soil and make sure the pot has good drainage. Then let it dry out a bit between watering ☺️

    That may be a watering issue. They don’t like to be wet but they do seem to like consistent watering. If I let mine go too long and it gets too dry and a little wilty, it acts up and looses some leaves after I water it. If I catch it before it gets too dry it does great. I have two and they both do this. Some plants don’t mind being under watered and will bounce back but this one’s a little pickier.
