First Monstera! Was in water when I got her about a month ago and now leaves underneath are turning yellow. Help! Should I keep in water? Is it time for a pot? All tips and tricks appreciated 🪴✨

You should probably put it in soil. So it doesn’t grow water roots unless that’s what you want.

Adansonii are finicky and often have yellow leaves if the conditions are perfect. If it’s just a couple and they are the oldest ones, I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s up to you if you want to keep it in water, but if you’re going to move it to soil, you should definitely do it now

It could be a lack of nutrients. Monstera’s can thrive in water, but just need to be given some sort of hydroponic nutrients, since it can’t pull any from the soil as it normally would planted. I personally like to keep mine in water since that’s one less plant that I have to worry about getting pests/watering when soil is dry. If you decide to keep it in water, make sure you change out the water at least once a month, it replenishes the oxygen in the water.
