Hi! Hereās my first monstera Thai Luna Lady. Iāve had her a about a month now and sheās growing a new leaf! š Butā¦ why is the bottom leaf yellowing? I use distilled water and sheās in a very light soil mix of orchid bark, perlite, etc. A local plant store in KC potted her for me.
It is very normal for oldest leaves to yellow and die, so thereās no reason to be concerned :)

I live in KC too!! And definitely just the oldest leaf dying off to give energy to the newer ones :) no need to panic!!

Lol Iām still searching for plant shops that are local or in my area so I donāt have to purchase online. Would you mind sending me some recommendations? Iāve actually worked at a few plant stores around here and I loved Larryās Nursery in Riverside, in my opinion they have the best selection and price. rOOTS KC is owned by a friend of a friend so I definitely love that place! All of the Family Trees are great places to find super healthy plants and knowledgeable people :) best tip is to join local Facebook plant groups! They sometimes will post about plant sales, plant pop ups, and other cool plant finds.
