I have flies and ants running all over my monstera? How to I remove them?!? Should I just give it a wash? What if they come back? Someone help!! :(

    Systemic granules + sticky traps (can both be found on Amazon). Repot your monstera in completely new soil and try and get as much dirt off the roots as possible. Toss the other soil and do this outside (if possible) so the ants cannot crawl to any other possible plants you have near the monstera. (I would recommend putting sticky traps + systemic granules on all plants you have just to make sure). Make sure to disinfect your pot if you need to use the same one (hydrogen peroxide & wash throughly after a few minutes, probably about ten of letting it sit and fizzle. You can also spray your monstera down fully while doing this, making sure to catch the underside of the roots too. Probably use the shower setting on the hose (if you have one).     stick in in a tub/shower and give it a bath with the shower cap! only do this when it’s time to water the plant, you don’t want to overwater it. it will wash all those ants off, then, once you’re done, put some rosemary essential oils in a diffuser if you have any/one. hope this helps!
