does anyone know why my leaves are turning yellow/brown like this?
Hi there. Perhaps too much water and not enough light. The lack of fenestration on the leaf also suggests this. I now use a grow light as I don’t really have the perfect spot for mine in terms of light conditions (bright indirect sun). The pic shows a new leaf (hence pale green) under grow light. I would cut yellow leaves back (but not more than 25% of the plant) so that the plant invests it’s energy into new growth, and move it to a brighter spot or use a grow light. Also check your using appropriate well draining soil. I add perlite to house-potting mix to assist with drainage.

Thanks for the advice! I got him last thursday and only water him once, after i repotted. He’s also placed in front of a east facing window. The soil is also mostly dry (according to a water meter we have). All of the larger leaves have good fenestrations too (see attached photo). Should i just cut the yellowing leaf off and see how he does?

Ahh he does look good actually! I see now the culprit is a base leaf. I’d whip him off indeed 🫣

Could be over watering, monsteras are very tolerant to dry soil. They can be left alone
