Got to the “root” of the problem. Learning my lesson on why we don’t support big box stores. Found out why my Monstera wasn’t doing well - four plants balled together into one pot.

Hmmmm. I had no clue. 🤔

hey, free plants! at the nursery they’ll sell you one for the same price, and it doesn’t even have a cover pot! they’re a little more work, but these crowded plants are WORTH the money and time! i have 6 monstera adonsonii just from one $20 pot from lowes! i don’t support them because they only pay growers if the plants sell, but for a plant parent on a budget they do the trick!

Absolutely! I’ll say, I was in the market for only one Monstera, but I’ll take 4 for the price of one 😆😆
いいね 1件Multiple plants in one pot is actually okay if the pot is large enough. I have several pots of Adansonii and each pot has 5-8 rooted cuttings in it. This will create a much bushier plant which I prefer aesthetically. From the looks of those roots all of them would be just fine in one six or eight inch pot.
