Got to the “root” of the problem. Learning my lesson on why we don’t support big box stores. Found out why my Monstera wasn’t doing well - four plants balled together into one pot.

Hmmmm. I had no clue. 🤔
1 likeThey (the vendor not the box store) do worse than that… Costa Farms will stuff unrooted cuttings in the pot too!

hey, free plants! at the nursery they’ll sell you one for the same price, and it doesn’t even have a cover pot! they’re a little more work, but these crowded plants are WORTH the money and time! i have 6 monstera adonsonii just from one $20 pot from lowes! i don’t support them because they only pay growers if the plants sell, but for a plant parent on a budget they do the trick!

Absolutely! I’ll say, I was in the market for only one Monstera, but I’ll take 4 for the price of one 😆😆
1 likeMultiple plants in one pot is actually okay if the pot is large enough. I have several pots of Adansonii and each pot has 5-8 rooted cuttings in it. This will create a much bushier plant which I prefer aesthetically. From the looks of those roots all of them would be just fine in one six or eight inch pot.
