hi guys!! i recently got a 12” monstera.. and she is beautiful. i have been bottom watering her when 2-3 inches of the top soil is dry, but for some reason i feel like i’m underwatering… where some of the stems come out of the soil there’s a few that are browning as if they’re dry. she gets dry about 2-5 days after i water. do i need to water more? am i over watering?

The plant may be root-bound, so it can’t retain enough water. Have you checked the soil? Also when you water the plant are you really soaking that bb? I am a chronic underwaterer bc im so scared of root rot. But I drown that bb when it’s time

so i don’t think it’s rootbound yet but i definitely think she’s wanting a bigger pot so i’m gonna be doing that tomorrow! hopefully it helps!

I’d give it at least two weeks in it’s new home before repotting.

Maybe the soil is too compact and needs more aeration. You can add a little perlite and stir around
