Hope you can win the war! I’d go full pesticide if they’re spreading quickly.

I’m planning on cleaning the leaves off with dr bronners 18 in 1 soap which has worked great for me for pests in the past. And thank you :( I knew thrips would come some day just was hoping I was the exception lol 🥲

They are diabolical lol Don’t forget to treat the soil. Learned recently the larvae fall off leaves and reemerge from the top soil as adults.

check out natures good guys website and search by pest. Also plantsbymelissa has a whole video on her two month journey of successfully getting rid of thrips using those little guys! I use mites as a preventative as well and haven’t had any pests 🙏🏼 also heard that silica gives plants resistance to some pests, its anecdotal but worth implementing 😅

Wash the whole plant with a castille soap and neem solution, then rinse and apply S. Feltiae nematodes to the soil and A. Cucumeris predatory mites to the leaves. Predatory mites will kill newly hatched larvae on the leaves, petioles, and vine. Any thrips larvae that fall to the soil to continue developing into adults will be killed by nematodes. You can also use yellow sticky traps to catch any adults flying around the plant.

Also, if you're pressed for space and isolating the affected plants from the rest of your collection isn't easy, you can bag each one in a large, clear leaf bag after treating it. The bag will prevent thrips from traveling to surrounding plants, but will still allow your plant to get light. My monstera deliciosa just got over thrips and is still thriving in his bag a week later 😌
