What's the best way to get this to run up the trellis? I had initially potted it incorrectly, then repotted it to have it aligned correctly at the base so the did roots can grow upwards. Whats next?!

this will not grow up these coco coir stakes. you will have to tie it to them. if you want your monstera to anchor it needs to be a sphagnum moss pole

Mine has the exact same poles and I have it strapped but it’s still anchoring just fine so technically it’s not necessary to have the sphagnum.

Monsteras are tricky, but you have to teach them how to grow kind of, is more like guide them. Some Monstera are climbers some are not. Yours looks like the one I own, and she was like that all over the place when growing and I ask my local plant place and they told me exactly this too. So when it comes to the moss pole I use two kinds; the flexible trellis and the stern moss pole, and velcro tape to stick them together so she can now lear her new path.

Gotcha! So do you only have the roots in the dirt, and the rest above soil tied to the trellis? I do have Velcro ty my it but I'm thinking part that should be above ground is below ground?

Would you mind showing me what it looks like exactly where the monstera is hitting the soil?

My monstera has the exact same pole and it’s tied to it and is doing wonderfully.
