Hello all! Writing to ask a health question on my Monstera. I just got Michael two ish weeks ago, and he’s definitely perked up since I’ve gotten him. He use to have no splitting leaves, very droopy, etc. In that, he had some spots and leaves that were of concern that I had hoped (foolishly) would heal themselves but haven’t. There was a piece of leaf I had to trim off because it was just not healthy. I’m wondering if this is the same situation, where the leaf is just bound to not do well in the future and if I should go ahead and prune the leaf off? This is the only leaf that still has any spots or discoloration. Any advice appreciated! Also to add, I have looked through the plant, there are no mites, flys, etc etc etc. I made sure of it when I repotted him from the nursery pot he came in to the one he’s in now.

It’s most likely just because it’s an older leaf that’s ready to give up. Typically the leaves that are closer to the soil are older leaves and they start to die off after a while

Thanks! I ended up pruning it of some of the older weaker leaves and now Michaels looking a lot better!!! :)))

After pruning! I also managed to find a separate Monstera plant inside my pot while looking for aerial roots so I have that piece off in a vase of water right now

She looks great! Taking the bad leaves will help push energy into making the rest of the plant healthier
