Hi there! My monstera has been having a tough time since winter and looking for any advice!! I bought her in the summer and since the winter with not as much light coming into my apartment she’s been drooping with an occasional yellowing leaf. Now, the original pot was a self watering pot, but it was too small so I repotted it into a larger pot that isn’t self watering so perhaps it’s still adjusting to some shock. I also just purchased a grow light to help! First image is the original pot I planted it in during summer and the other is the new pot that was repotted in late September (also just misted the plant right before taking image) Any help for this plant newbie is appreciated!!

I would say Shocked still And The grow light will help alot in winter! I Am from Florida and Moved to maine for a year and Having a grow light helped so much😅 but I would say its in shock. Moving back down south Shook my monstera(s) A bit But it will bounce back within a week or 2! just Let it do its thing. keep the grow light On for at least 8-16 hours! i kept mine on while at work they had a timer on them! From 10am-9/10pm

Also they like to be a little Bit root bound! unless they roots are coming out the bottom or The water doesn’t drain properly i would definitely just leave it in the pot its already in for next time :)

Thank you!! I had a feeling as I repotted it that I should have just left it alone, but alas my adhd targeted the plant haha 😆

Pull it out the pot and check the roots you might be over watering them and not enough light. Plants that use grow lights or are in bright spots require more water but if it’s not in a very sunny spot you might be over watering it.

Thank you, that’s good to know! I probably have been watering it the same amount as when it was immersed in more sunlight so that could certainly be a factor too
