My sad Swiss cheese plant was not doing great. A good friend repotted it about a month ago. Some new growth. What am I doing wrong? I try not to over water. I feel like it hates me and my house! Help!

looks like root rot to me. does the pot have good drainage (both drainage holes and effectively draining soil)? is the plant getting enough light?
1 j'aimeIt does now. But maybe it’s a goner?
0 J'aimeIf it was already dying and just now got the proper drainage it needs, it can still recover, it’s just a slow process. If it continues, you can always try chopping and propagating it to grow new roots and save the plant
1 j'aimeThat looks like root rot. The biggest thing was already mentioned- very well draining soil and pot drainage. I have had some pretty good success with treating root rot with several things 1) hydrogen peroxide 3% - you can just pour it straight on the soil. It aerates and sanitizes. 2) mycorrhizae- Big Foot brand has one you add to water and water in. This stuff is AMAZING and has absolutely been a game changer. 3) water meter sticks. I found some on Amazon that are amazing and work really well and really help with preventing overwatering. They are really straight forward and I have had a lot of other plant peeps recommend them. I have my sis in law set up with them in every plant she owns because she struggles to keep anything alive.
