Hi! I have another question. I bought this past weekend and I went to repot it and the soil was still wet. So I just placed it in the new pot and added soil on top, however one leaf with soooo yellow and it just fell. When I picked it up it was brown/black at the bottom, should I be worried? Should I take the plant out and get rid of the original soil? I don’t want it to die 😭

That sounds like it could be rotting, if it’s brown/black and mushy with a bad smell, then it’s rotting from overwatering. It’s hard to tell without a picture but maybe be careful about your watering schedule :)

When I bought it the top soil was dry but when I took the plant out the soil was wet underneath. Should I take it out and get rid of the soil. I didn’t remove the soil because there were so many roots wrapped around and I didn’t want to mess it up

I like to repot new plants with new soil once they’re settled into their environment, and monsteras like chunky soil so it could help to pot it in a mixture of potting soil, orchid bark, and/or perlite. They like to have well draining soil. As far as messing the roots up, as long as you’re careful with it, it’ll be fine, monsteras have a lot of thick roots and it’ll regrow any roots that it loses. Make sure to let it dry out almost completely before watering again
