My monstera adansonii has some leaves that are turning yellow around the edges and tips, along with a few brown tips. I water when the soil is about half dry and it’s been sitting about a foot from a north facing window. Does anyone know if this is a problem with light or water? Or maybe temperature?

They like to dry out completely before watering. Try that and see if it improves. Of course, once the leaves start yellowing, you can’t reverse it. Good luck!

      I’ll try that, thank you!

You might want to check the roots for root rot, just to be safe.

Sure it’s an adansonii? Leaves look different from ones I have seen. Maybe because they have less holes.

Yes, it’s pretty young so it doesn’t have many holes yet :)

My baby I water when top 1-1.5 inch of the soil is dry. Itll let you know. Check to make sure it doesn’t have root rot. Also, make sure it isn’t out grown it’s home. Mine did that when I wasn’t watering enough. Leaves started to crumple up.

Thank you! I might need to repot it, should I wait until the weather is warmer to repot?

I repot whenever is needed. I also live in California. Our weather is all over the place.

i don’t think it’s getting enough light, which is causing over watering symptoms. monstera need more light than comes from most north facing windows, even having it right in the window likely won’t be enough light. a few hours of gentle direct sunlight is ideal, like a foot or two back from an east or west window
