someone help please! frankie isn’t doing well and I’m not sure why. she gets 12hrs of grow light and is 12ish feet from a window. i just repotted her with brand new soil. before i repotted her, i trimmed her mushy roots and cleaned them with hydrogen peroxide and water, let them dry with cinnamon and then repotted. she has 6 drain holes and drains well but she’s so droopy and her new leaf is unfolding so slowly. what am i doing wrong?? i follow the watering schedule on here and if anything, i miss a couple days to dry her out a little more. please help!!

Snip off bad leaves. If all are bad, pick the one that looks in greatest condition. I would check the stems to see if they are mushy. If they are: next watering day, water more than usual.

okay, none of the stems are mushy. I also use liquid fertizlier in my water and it says on this app that it’s time to fertilize her, but not water so should i water her with the fertilizer or wait until her watering day?

Ok. I would use the fertilizer but I would make sure that there’s more fertilizer than water in the solution.

Respectfully I disagree with Lavender. I would just trim off the crispy edges and see if they reappear after you did all that maintenance. If they do, you can consider chopping the leaves and starting new.

i have never heard about cutting parts off of the leaf, only the stalk or stem

Lots of people do it to make it look “aesthetic” for a photo. If you’d like i’m sure there’s some websites that talk about it

The plant needs time to recover, fertiliser is definitely not the answer. Forget about aesthetics, you need to get back to thriving first. Check the leaves, and stems daily for any further deteriorating conditions, and wait for it to perk up.

should i do any trimming on the leaves or anything? should i follow the normal water schedule?

Any obvious rot on stems, leaves, or roots should go. But don't be confused a few crispy edges are no big deal. You're are starting with a sick plant, so cross your fingers. r

How big is the root ball? Perhaps the pot is too big for the root ball and it’s being overwatered as a result?

it was root bound in the previous pot which was the same size
