Is it selfish of me to cut around the burnt parts , I really don’t like how they look but don’t want to either lol

You honestly don’t have too. Eventually the Thai Con will get rid of it. Mine is currently going through the process of getting rid of its burnt leaf.
いいね 1件I also don’t like the way it looks. If it’s a small spot I trim that away and if it’s bigger I cut the leaf off as long as there is sufficient other leaves to keep the plant alive. It’s not necessary but haven’t found that it hurts the plant either. The more important thing to me is finding the cause and rectifying that so it doesn’t continue to spread on the plant.
いいね 1件i’ve seen people cut the leaves after they’ve had some sort of damage and they make it look just as beautiful as before!! i wouldn’t feel that way at all you’re just giving a little trim 😁

Cutting the leaf rill eventually just cause the cut edges to brown and crisp so it's really up to you if it's the aesthetic that bothers you. It'll be clean for a little while.
