Hi there, sorry - what do you mean by putting the monstera “in it”? Could you post a photo of your poles? Whether you’re using a plank, a coir pole or a moss pole as your support, you place it into your pot when repotting. When you put the plant it, you want the back of the monstera to be against the support. You can help your plant by gently tying it to the pole. Eventually the aerial roots should do the rest of the work. Hope that helps! 🌿🌿🌿
1 LikeOhhh okay I see now . Thank you so much. I have seen so many different reels where ppl are cutting nodes and placing them in the moss so I was wondering if I had to cut my plant at the nodes to do so
0 LikesNo need to cut. There’s a lot of stuff out there where people are just really experimenting but it makes it feel like you’re missing out on important information. You’re not! Also some techniques are for other purposes and it may not be clear for the short videos. For example, there is a propagation technique called air layering where you place moist sphagnum moss around a node, wrap it in plastic wrap or use a special plastic ball. Keeping it all moist will encourage roots to grow into the sphagnum. Once roots have developed, the plant can be cut below the level of the roots, leaving you with a cutting that ready for potting. It’s just a technique that’s good to be aware of but it’s not necessary to use that with many aroids like monsteras and philos etc as they easily root in water too. All the best without your pole and let me know if you have any other questions :) 🌿🌿🌿
