The inside of my newest leaf on my monstera has no inner fenestrations 🫤 can anyone tell me why ? I stick to its watering schedule and only when it’s almost all dry, spray it every once in a while, it gets great light in an east facing window, all the things. Since I’ve had this monstera I’ve gotten about 5 leaves, each with more fenestrations. Now this leaf with nothing, help please ? šŸ˜…

Perhaps there isn’t enough light? I prune off leaves occasionally to keep it bushy and the fenestrations have never diminished with new leaves

Hm odd. I agree that more light equals more inner fenestrations and vice versa. But you haven’t moved the plant recently? Well, I guess I’m assuming you’re in the northern hemisphere, but you might not be. Are you going into winter with shorter days? Or not, if you’re going into summer, there’s a possibility that the seasonal position of the sun is a factor. The higher midday peak could cause the incoming light to be blocked by something outside your window that hadn’t been an issue over the winter

it may not have stayed in its sheath long enough or another leaf blocked its sun. if it’s just one, i wouldn’t worry. it’s still beautiful and has fenestrations.
