Hi!!! I need some opinions about my monstera. She’s growing nicely still and just put out a new leaf… but I’m sick of looking at her backside 🤣 I left her facing the window to be happy and now she’s leaning a lot. I should’ve started attaching her to a pole or trellis a while back but live and learn I guess. I am nervous that if I try to put the main stems upright to attach to a pole or trellis, I might snap it. Would you attempt it anyways and worst case, propagate if it snaps? I’d like to try to get her upright somehow and get a floor lamp looking grow light so that she can face the inside of the place rather than the window. Any recommendations on grow lights are very appreciated. I want to get one that is strong to promote more fenestration in future leaves. Thank you for suggestions!

Honestly I’d repot it and put it in sideways so it’s upright 😭😂 but idk if thats the best opinion lol

Honestly not a bad idea lol. SydneyPlantGuy on YouTube and Instagram did a video where he turned his Thai constellation on its side and added a aroid mix “pole” and it worked out great.

This video was really helpful, thank you! I bought a trellis today and I think I found a pot big enough because my roots were also quite bound too like that video.

It kind of depends how much work you want to do honestly. You could add a trellis/pole as is and attach it at less-than-snapping tension and slowly retrain it in the direction you want it to go; repot like prayformyplants commented and turn it on its side with a trellis/support; or do a full repot where you tease a good amount of the soil off the roots so you can repot it upright with a strong trellis/support on its backside. The last one’s more aggressive but it would correct its lean and set it up for more upright, long term growth.
