Hello! I recently got a monstera bulbasaur tissue culture from a mystery bag at a local plant show last week. I followed the instructions but Iā€™m a bit worried as the only other monstera I have is my Thai constellation that I got when I was much more established. Does it seem to be doing well, Iā€™m trying to acclimate it as the instructions say but I also plan on keeping it in my indoor greenhouse for as long as I can. I was also wondering if anyone could help me with a watering schedule since itā€™s so young and in a more humid environment. It was only 25 dollars but itā€™s my first tissue culture and I want it to thrive so any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!!

    Looks great so far! Now like you said just watch it grow but once acclimated to your home ambient temperature it will continue to grow just like your more established monsteras! Thatā€™s awesome you got a Bulbasaur for $25!šŸ˜

      Thank you! I really didnā€™t know how much of a deal I got until I looked it up to see what they look like more mature. Iā€™m definitely super excited to watch him grow!

    looks good! for humid environments like that container you still want to follow the 2 inches of topsoil rule once the sprout is stable, and yours is definitely stable, and super cute!!

      Thank you! It seemed more stable but I wasnā€™t sure if it was just how I planted it or if it was actually rooted. Iā€™m definitely excited to watch it grow too since shes definitely really cute! Would you mind to explain the 2 inches of top soil rule to me? It may be common knowledge but I want to make sure I have everything right lol

      you generally want to wait until the top 1 or 2 inches of soil is dry before you water. so you should be able to basically stick your whole index finger in the soil before you feel moisture. personally it's my tried and true method, i have never overwatered anything šŸ«”

      That makes sense, I do this with an old wooden chopstick I guess I just wasnā€™t aware it was a rule lol thank you!
