hi all! i’m needing plant recommendations for this little shelf.. something that doesn’t need lots of light! i’ve heard that snake plants grow well in low light.. what would you put there? or is the spot doomed without a grow light?

Hi! I am new to this community and I have been working hard creating a plant room. I was watering my plants and realized that all I had was a snake plant, Christmas cactus, spider plants and pothos. I decided to expand my collection. Here are the results! My husband says he lives in the jungle now.

I’ve been looking for a plant that’s happy on this shelf since I have no outlet for a plant light and it’s about 10 feet from the bay window, which is the only one in the room. It’s north facing. I’ve had this Dracaena here for a couple of months and he still seems happy to me. Hoping he might be the one :) Any thoughts?

Hi everyone !!! I went to Home Depot earlier and found this beauty. It’s a philodendron burle Marx variegated. It’s looks very heathy. It was cold outside so I put my winter coat on top of her to go to my car ( hoping it would help with the cold burn ). I put her in the corner of my pc set up, but I would love some care tips for those. Anyone ?

Hi friends, I'm a new plant mom and am still figuring things out. I currently have some plants on this cabinet, which is between 2 windows. Am really disliking these grow lights as they fall over easily and I just don't think they are strong enough.. any other ideas for grow lights here? Would love to see similar setups if you have one!

Does anyone have any tips for keeping outside plants warm in the winter?? I live in a tropical humid place but we have a cold front coming this week. I’ve thought about throwing a plastic tarp over my plants but I don’t want to flatten any foliage, I’m also not sure if it would stay warm enough. I’ve been putting all my plants indoors but I don’t have enough lighting to keep them happy inside for long periods of time. Any tips and suggestions are welcome!!

I’m having some tuck pointing done on this exterior wall (the leak turned out worse than expected, had to remove 4 of the 8 layers of brick and rebuild the wall). Once the outside work is done, the plaster inside will come down to fix any remaining damage, and I’ll be leaving it exposed brick. That room will then become my office and I already had a vision of what to do with that wall. So I had ChatGPT make me an image. It’s along the lines of what I want.

Painted some flowers on this lil vase. Loving it❤️

Made a post not long ago about suggestions for bulbs and what not. Ended up buying two 25watt 30par Sansi bulbs to put in ceiling lights (recession lights with no covering) facing the mantle of my fireplace that I keep some of my plants that were lacking the most sunlight. My plants are doing great, I love these bulbs, they love these bulbs lol BUT I didn't know that they got so hot until after I made the purchase. Last night I turned my lights off and could hear the metal fixture crackling as it was cooling down. Kind of worries me, because why wouldn't it? lol Sooo... anyone else with this issue? What bulbs do you recommend that stay relatively cool, but still work? My plan is to replace these bulbs and still use them, but with an actual plant stand perhaps? I don't know what type of fixture to use these bulbs in without it burning someone or something. I wouldn't have bought them if I knew. 🤧
