   Not all types of plants can propagate. Look up the plant online to see!

   Most pothos, philodendrons, tradescantia and ivy will work. Snip a few inches and remove lower leaves. Make sure there is a node in the water. Then put in your container with water. Then watch them grow. Some are faster than others. Refresh the water every week as it will evaporate etc.

   Any plant that can do cuttings well can water-prop. Use rooting hormone (there's a powder type or a liquid kind called prop drops.) Some plants are easy to do with regular water, but if in doubt, use distilled to help prevent rot. Some species of plant (😒 my oak) are nearly impossible to start via cuttings, so it helps to look up each species you're trying to propagate to see if root divisions or growing from seeds would save you some trouble. Cuttings must always have a node; otherwise they'll never produce both the roots and leaves they need to become a whole plant
