I want to make a memorial garden with lots of flowers. I live in South Carolina what plants could I plant in the garden that will thrive

    marigolds and milkweed foliage plants like umbrella plants birds of paradise u could have a cacti section ummm im not that familiar with outdoor plants though

    flowers are much different from plants meaning they need a lot of sun and nutrients

      You could always do a wildflower mix. East Tennessee native here, so we have similar temps. You can even try to find a local nursery that has a native mix for your area. I’d do a mix of perennials and bulbs. I love irises, peony, dalias, tulips, daffodils, lavender or whatever their favorite bulbs flowers were, then cast your native mix after those are planted. You should have blooms all growing season long.
