Hello! I just moved to a new flat and have a different setup. I’d been previously keeping all my plants behind a sheer curtain, though now with the same amount of light through the window I don’t have a sheer curtain. The plants seem okay but will this be a problem? Also I keep them closer to the window and lately have had it open a lot and I just noticed a bit of discolouration in my leaves. Would anyone have any tips or suggestions for how to set these up?

If anything, the plants will likely enjoy the extra sunlight. None of the plants pictured should hurt to be that close to the windowsill, and can handle brighter conditions. I could think the yellow leaves would be more likely from overwatering or underwatering than the increased lighting. If your watering habits haven’t changed, but it’s taking longer for the plant to dry out than usual (which can happen when it starts to get colder), then consider if it’s been recently repotted and in poorly draining soil or a pot that’s too big, making it take longer to dry out. Hope this helps 😊

Amazing thanks! Yes I have been a little off on my watering lately — I’ll watch it closer. Thank you for the help 🤗

The first plant- the new leaves always come out lighter in color like that. They darken as they get bigger!

I have moved with my plants and noticed that it can take a little time for the plants to get used to the new location (even within my own house). They have to get used to the new light, the new air and the new water. I wouldn’t repot until they’ve had a chance to adapt to the new environment.
