Greetings! Can anyone help me? I have grow lights that are wonderful for my plants. But now with the cold weather coming the humidity is gone. I want to get a humidifier for my plants and I need to know how to set it up because I scared of any mist touching the lights. I don’t want any lights to explode!
I haven’t had any problem with that but I normally put my humidifier farther away from the lights, if thats an option id see how that’d be!

Hi there, I totally understand your concern, it’s very valid! Out of curiosity, what humidity level is your home during winter? I’m just wondering as you may not need a humidifier depending on what your plants are acclimated to. As an example, last year I moved to a small town that’s generally quite dry and arid. During winter the humidity hovered around 30% and while my plants weren’t living their best summer lives, they didn’t wither away and die either. If you do decide to go down the humidifier route, you could consider alternative grow lights that have an IP65 (or more) rating (at IP65 they can comfortably be set up in 85% humidity but often referred to as waterproof though not submersible in water). At the very expensive end, the Mother Plant Spectrum lights are an option but I personally have found a few options with an IP65 rating by other brands such as Mars Hydro, AC Infinity and Spider Farmer which are a fraction of the price. If you look on their websites, they specialise in high wattage industrial growing lights but they also actually offer quite neat bar lights that are excellent quality and don’t look awful in a home environment. I recently purchased the short bar lights from AC Infinity which are meant to be used for supplemental lighting in grow tents but I have set this up in my greenhouse cabinet and it’s exceptional. I also had concerns about humidity damaging the electronic components and potentially starting a fire so am only looking at IP65/higher options for high humidity environments. Best of luck! 🌿🌿🌿
