hi all! i’m needing plant recommendations for this little shelf.. something that doesn’t need lots of light! i’ve heard that snake plants grow well in low light.. what would you put there? or is the spot doomed without a grow light?

    How far is it from the window and how humid is it? If the window is right there on the left it might be good light. A pothos might be pretty! They can get long and hang off the shelf. Check out the Brazil pothos or a silvery ann, both are really pretty and easy to manage.

      yes i hav a few pothos. that’s a good idea! yes that window to the left is about 5 or 6 inches from the hanging shelf and i do let the curtains open during the day.. thanks!

    ZZ plants don’t need a lot of light. But I like the idea of a trailing plant like Pothos.

    Hi the Brasil is actually a philodendron and not a photos. They have similar light requirements and are both vining plants either or would look great in this location. Personally I would not suggest a snake plant because they have an upright growth pattern and a vining plant will look really good in that area .

      Maybe do both. But be careful of the type of snake plant. Mine stands 3 feet tall.
