Help!! This is Hal and he is taking over! I brought in my outdoor plants today, and I don't know what to do with this pineapple. He absolutely exploded in growth over the summer. Last July I thought it would be fun to plant up the top of a store bought pineapple. Well, it's just over a year later and he's now over 3.5 feet across! The first pic is July 2023, the second pic is mid-summer when he was living his absolute best life, and the final pic is where we stand today. I honestly had no idea how massive he got until I saw him inside my house. I don't want to get rid of it bc I want to see if I can get it to produce fruit, but I have no idea where to put him. He's just too wide. Is there any way to make this look nice? Other than chopping it all the way back? Will that hurt the plant? What should I do??

    Do you have a corner to fill you can put it there with a grow light

    I had pineapple plant that I grew too from top of pineapple. It took 2.5 yrs. I grew it inside with no grow light but had lot of sun. I got one pineapple from it. So worth it though, was delicious & fun to try! Hang in there with your plant!

    Hot darn! Last month, I bought some plants from a lady off FB Marketplace & she gave me a pineapple she started growing. I did NOT know they could get this big… 😅😂

    They do get big minor out on my porch.I trimmed the bottom leaves.\nAnd that helps with space. I planted my biggest one outside.\nStill trying to figure it out.I hope it gives me fruit.I've had it a year. In my porch , i've had to transplant them to bigger pots. I even have one that grew a baby next to it.. Now I have five🤪

    Hi! I just came across your post. Your plant look beautiful. I am also growing two pineapples. How did they turn out? Hopefully the plants flowered and gave fruit. Pineapples are very slow so they require a lot of patience. I imagine that is why the fruits are so expensive at the supermarket. Lol

      She is now in my tummy.It was delicious. It was the best pineapple I've eaten ever.It kinda tasted like It had strawberry in it. It was very good waiting for the next one to come out. They say they could bear more out of the same plant and it should be bigger.Let's see what happens.
