What can I put in this wide, tall, awkward ledge?? I feel like I need to fill vertical space but also have something interesting at the bottom so that it looks nice from all angles in my home. Also lower maintenance is better so I don’t need to pull out the ladder too often!
It would probably be easiest to get something self heading. Like a larger philodendron. But I'd cover that thing in a trellis and pop in a large leaf climber 😆 🤣 . You could get an automatic waterer, so you wouldn't have to go up as much too.

As soon as I saw your post, I thought of my heart leaf philodendron, “Brazil”, which drapes down off of a tall cabinet in our living room. She gets no light whatsoever, although the room itself is fairly bright. She’s lived up there for two years and has continued to grow well. I have recently put her on a plant light, and she’s really gone to town with much larger leaves and substantial plant growth… I just love her! I’m suggesting this plant for you because they’re very easy to care for, they don’t need much light, and don’t need to be watered until dry. What more can you ask for that spot?!

Snake plant you don’t have to water them often and that lighting is perfect for them

I think a vining plant would look gorgeous there! Pothos are low maintenance in my opinion and self watering pots are life savers
