Does anyone have problems getting rid of these pesky little gnats? They are driving me crazy. I’ve tried so many different ways to get rid of them.

    I have used both mosquito bits (most effective) and neem tea (safer but less effective and can take longer). Both disrupt the life cycle and prevent the larvae from becoming flies. The only thing I have had luck with once they are flying around are the lighted glue traps. But they have worked well for me.

    I saw that/ its expensive. I’ll have to try. They are driving me crazy. Ty, that’s just one of the set ups out of 4. My sunroom is my fav, but the gnats drive me outta there/ here in the kitchen too.

    With plant stick traps and these lights, you should be able to really tame the outbreaks. These lights last for months. Sometimes these traps get just full of gnats and other random pests. I do use Neem, also.

      Doesn’t work well enough. I have about 100 of them in it😳

      Wow! I am always surprised how often I have to clean these out at my house at certain times of the year. Good luck

    I like to use beneficial nematodes and sticky traps. Traps catch the adults and nematodes take care of the larvae

    I frequently wipe my leaves off with neem oil (super tedious but I never have bugs and have 30+ plants in the same room)

    I’ve heard you can put a dish full of water and dishwater and gnats will just kill themselves, though I’ve never tried it before

      Yes Apple cider vinegar with a few drops of soap. Saran/cling wrap over the bowl and one small hole in the top. I had a bad case of fruit flies once and there were soooooo many in the bowl.

    I water with beneficial nematodes.

    I’ve tried using nematodes for the larvae and eggs, carnivorous plants for the adults, and plant/food safe sprays for them and nothing has ended their reign on my apartment. My next step is buying some fancy mosquito bits that have BTI in them to have a plant safe solution.

      That will work, keep using it/ fertilizer. Soon they will be gone🥰
