I really should have taken a “before” picture, but I’m usually so focused on trying to save the plant I forget to. This is an Alocasia Nairobi Nights (yes, it’s apparently different from a Pink Dragon lol). I found it completely waterlogged at a big box store— with stems so rotted they were falling off in a pile of slime on the floor as I walked to the checkout. I didn’t exactly want to pay full price, but I didn’t want it to continue to die while I tried to haggle prices. But! As you can see—there is so much healthy plant here to love and nurture! And unfurling new growth, too! I’m naming it “Floyd the Flamingo” 🦩

I got this an empty lantern candle holder a while back and could never figure out what to put in it. I guess it’s a baby terrarium now! 🦌🪴

Think it’s time to replant this to a bigger pot. I got this plant 2 months ago and it’s already twice as large as it was when I got it. Replant? The first picture is when I got it and the second is what it is now. The roots are hanging out of the bottom of the smaller plastic pot that is inside the larger ceramic one which makes me think I need to but I’m not a plant whisperer.

Just got this Silver dragon Alocasia from Costco I re potted it and it was super root bound but the roots were supper healthy and white. It had all of these corms on it some were already sprouted but i transferred them to sphagnum moss. And the best part is that its blooming!!!
