my first ever dorm plant baby! Iâve had my peppermonia since august and i think iâve been taking care of it well. i used to use bottle water when i live back at home but now that iâve moved in my dorm i switched to tap and sheâs been taking it quite well! bought a growth light but i think i may need a bigger one cause the bottom leaves arenât getting much light. also recently discovered two new leaves sprouting im so excited! :))) cant wait to buy more plant babies in the future

hi everyone, i have a probably dumb question but i just bought this moisture meter and i wasnât sure if the zones as stated on the back of the box indicate that the plant needs watering or if it doesnât.

Found a seed in a seedless mandarin orange, so I figured why not? If this orange can have a seed when it wasnât supposed to, then Iâll go ahead and give it new life. Hereâs where we are now, and my can I say she looking prettyyy!! đ„°đ„°

My Hoya Nicholsoniae âNew Guinea Ghostâ plants are doing well and putting out new leaves. I got them in September. They arrived sun stressed pink and beautifully wrapped. They have been in their shot glass size pots the last 6 weeks. I will repot combining all into one pot. I bought a separate cutting from another seller to add fullness. I plan to sun stress them again since they give off such a lovely pink glow. đ„°đȘŽđđ

How did you acquire your plants?
Funny enough, all of my plants were gifted to me, the polkadot begonia(affectionately named Esther), and my Thanksgiving cactus(named aragog) were given to me by my neighbor as cuttings off of her plants.
Fun fact: Aragog is a âbabyâ from a cactus that is almost 20 years old!!
Aries(my Swiss cheese/monstera) was given to me as a graduation present from my grandmother. Monstera is my favorite plant of all time, though my begonia is definitely becoming a close secondđ„°

Gynura aurantiaca flower! I read that you should cut them off as buds as the flowers smell awful. I let this one go because I was curious.
This one has no scent that I can detect. đ€

This is an update on my Callisia Repens (Basket plant). I purchased a 9 inch cutting in July that had several appendages growing from it. I separated it into three pieces. I potted the two largest cuttings in soil and propagated the smallest in water. They are all doing great.
Callisia repens grows out vines/runners like a spider plant. It gets its name from the flowers that look like a small wicker basket of white flowers.
Itâs typically grown in a garden bed as a fast growing ground cover. This is my first time owning this plant and found it very easy to grow in pots. They put out several runners. The smallest piece kept in water also put out a runner under water! There were no sensitivity or pest issues. There are variegated types. Itâs about $10 to $12 per large cutting on Etsy. I would recommend it as an affordable easy to grow plant that can adapt to a hanging basket or planter.

My little Rio philodendron has grown well since I got her last summer. She is low maintenance and looks good still in the original 3 inch nursery pot. I used Osmocote fertilizer granules in the soil. I add SuperThrive plant vitamins to her water once a month. She resides on my north facing kitchen window.
