Plant mom
Just inherited my mother in laws 35 year old dieffenbachia. It moved from a south/east sunny spot where it never moved for 35 years, to my west window yesterday. Iâm very nervous! In the winter Iâm afraid this wonât be as sunny but itâs my only option for space reasons.

I also bought plant stands from Daddy Besosâ Online Emporium. Hereâs one in my bedroom. Also sharing the shelf above the bathtub (thereâs a frosted glass window in there), my handsome stag horn, and my trick for keeping the cats from eating my plants: birdcages! Oh, and my alocasia tried to die but I saved him and heâs got a new leaf coming in đ„° This birdcaged plant is caged to increased the number of plants I can have on this stand LOL I have others that do keep plants safeâ specifically my dragon trees. The cats canât seem to get enough dragon tree! Theyâve killed 4 already.

My rubber tree is looking very healthy and is shooting out all kinds of new leaves, but sheâs tall and skinny. I was just reading about how to get her to bush out and it says to cut the top offâŠ. This gives me anxiety! Has anyone done this? What was your experience? Judging by how tall she is I feel I would need to cut her back further than just a bit off the top but ⊠đ© What do you think?? Should I âïž, or let her be? (She is at least 1-2 leaves taller than in this photo now)
