I got this airplant at this size for $10 from a hobby grower. Ive never owned one and apparently it’s not common for them to be this large…does anyone know why it’s so big? And how/could I propagate it?

how it started (early april) — cuttings from a friend’s legacy plant they were given to me potted, but i’m a control freak and immediately undid her work 😅 …and how it’s going 🤩💚 the lighting is totally different with a storm rolling in — but it’s so much perkier & really filling out
