A month ago, I was wrongfully terminated from what I truly believed was my dream career. I worked hard to get there, so losing it the way I did sent me into a depression that I honestly wasn’t prepared for. Then I bought one plant. 🪴 It wasn’t supposed to become a “thing.” I just needed something positive, something to take care of while I was trying to figure out how to take care of myself again. Somehow, that one plant became two… then five… and now, less than a month later, I have well over 10 plants. 😂🌱 Learning about them, checking their roots, figuring out their lighting, watching for new growth, repotting them, and yes… giving every single one of them a name 😂 has given me something healthy to pour my energy into. I’m still processing what happened. I’m still figuring out what comes next. But my little indoor jungle has reminded me that losing one chapter of your life doesn’t mean you stop growing. Sometimes new growth starts in the most unexpected places. 🌱💚

My favorite plant. For those who haven’t seen my posts before I live in the sub arctic. Most of my plants I fly up from down south. Last time I gave my mom a list to shop for me but the head staff at the nursery made a recommendation. Honestly at first I wasn’t too sure since it meant one less of the plants I had selected could come up as my friends personal item on the plane. Omg I adore her. Philodendron green Congo variegated. She has been growing so well and keeps giving me new leaves. Philodendrons are my jam it seems.

Avocado update!!! 🥑 I honestly had very little hope the seed would sprout because I forgot it in a Ziploc bag for months it completely dried out but I decided to give it a chance and threw it in some soil and BOOM, here is the little guy today! Freshly repotted in a 6” pot, can't wait for it to fruit for me in like 8 years! 😂 (also, one of it’s leaves burned due to it hitting my grow light) 🥲
