Oops….I did It Again…..or whatever she said. Anyways did some more repots this evening. My polka dot begonia was purchased from Facebook marketplace. She was planted directly in a white ceramic pot with a single drain hole. That’s always driven me crazy. Getting her out of the pot wasn’t fun and it was difficult getting the root ball through the opening of the pot as the bottom of the pot is wider than the opening and I wasn’t trying to disturb the roots too much. I had to dig her out with my fingers haha. And my corn plant was purchased at Menards weeks ago. . Sopping wet. Literally swimming. I didn’t really repot it, I removed her from that pot, reworked her original soil and placed her back in it. I soon realized her soil is just holding water. Planta would tell me to water and everything I check the soil I would skip the next couple waterings cause the soil is so wet. Also. This. Pot came with 2 corn plants. Anyways. I split them up and put them in smaller pots, even when they were together, the pot they came in felt too big. So in a way I gained another plant today haha.

Ok, I need help identifying a plant that Ive had for a few months now. This whole time I thought it was a blushing Philo. That’s what the pot said. And that’s what Planta told me when I scanned it a while ago. Another member had commented on another post of mine and said they didn’t believe it was a blushing Philo. So I looked and now I don’t think it’s either lol. I just rescanned it again in Planta and NOW it tells me it’s an elephant ear (mixed variety) I literally don’t know what I have lol which means I’m giving it the wrong care and is properly why im stuck at 3.5 leaves haha PLEASE HELPPPP. THANK YOU.

Good morning plant peeps. Did some repotting on the middle the night (the pic with 6 small plants on the shelf) split up a wandering dude (pain in the butt with intertwined stems lol) And the rest just wanted camera time. I have 14 More repottings to go before I have everyone in a clear pot.

Well it’s 12:38 am. Can’t sleep. And I have some needed repotting to do. Some for my older plants. And some I just got today. I have a few plants I acquired a while ago from Facebook marketplace. They were cuttings and they’re doing ok. I just don’t like the soil they’re in, it’s got the wet crushed Oreo look to it that I don’t like and it just doesn’t drain well. When I water them it takes forever for the water to finally start dripping. And then I have some plants from Menards that I need to split up and change soil cause they just hold water for way too long. I’ve skipped the watering/water check from the Planta app the past 2 times cause the soil is just still wet. 2 plants I got today are still growing roots, so they will remain in water for a bit. Also I’m still “new” to plants as of July of this year, so I haven’t done any propagation (except my fittonia the other day) yet or transitioning plants from water to soil. Wish me luck lol Update: repotting completed. Now they all have a great well draining soil mix that I use for all of my plants. All 4 bags get mixed together not all at once of course, I only mix what I’m using so it’s fresh. I don’t do measurements, I just kinda eyeball it. And it works lol P.s. I forgot to do my corn plant lol. That will also get split up as it’s already 2 separate plants.

So while out and about picking up furniture from marketplace to refinish and resell, I stopped by my friends moms house and she wouldn’t let me leave without taking some plants lol 2 of them are cuttings and still growing roots in water. One is obviously a golden Pothos. The other one looks very similar to my angel wings plant, but bigger. Hopefully someone can help verify. And also she gave me one of her wandering Jew plants which is a plant I don’t have yet lol.

Wellllll……I’ve been looking at these and have been wanting to repot them. Soil kept drying out. Weren’t really growing too much. And just as I suspected, some of them were screaming for a bigger pot lol. I know some like to be root bound. I honestly didnt disturb the root balls too much, just wanted to give them a better draining soil mix and a little more room. And my little coleus, I was gifted him and it’s been driving me nuts about the blue pot he was in with tiny tiny tiny little drain holes. I also clipped ms. Fitt and put those back in the soil so she hopefully stops looking so leggy lol The following plants have been upgraded from their tiny baby nursery pots to 1 bedroom studios: Coleus Golden Pothos Manjula Pothos Croton Nerve plant Angel wings

He actually BLOOMED! And just in time for Thanksgiving. I bought him at the farmer's market summer of last year as a tiny little guy. He's been growing well, but I thought he was still too small to bloom. Hooray for Theodore!
