Hey hey, I’m proving that I can keep a non succulent alive long enough to pop out another leaf. The stress marks on the other leaves happened within the first few days, but I figured it out, mostly. TBH this plant is so so so much easier to deal with than a tiny succulent with 1000 little nooks that require a magnifying glass to inspect.

She has survived chopping her down twice- both due to frost/cold damage.

Friend of mine moved to a new home and donated his plants to me. I’m fairly new at this but I gave it a bit of a make over

Long story short - my grandpa was my hero; Bumpa passed 8 years ago this summer. When he was in the service, he brought a cactus home for my grandma…and it’s been in the family since. For just over two decades, this cactus lived in the backyard of my grandma’s house where it was existing, but not thriving. It started to die last summer and my grandma’s heart was heartbroken. She asked me to do what I could to save it. So I did the research, severed the pads safely, and unfortunately only one of the three I cut survived. The smallest, least mature pad kept fighting over the last 6-8 months…and now it has grown a friend 🥹 I’m getting married this year, yet another milestone without Bumpa…but this…this felt like a sign and not a single person is going to convince me otherwise.

Wasn’t sure how this was going to work. Ling my Chinese money plant was stretched with no leaves at the bottom of the stem. So I cut the stem off and put the plant in water. I really like how she looks in the round vase and she is growing like crazy. I think I just might leave her in water.

My husband hates yard work. But for Mother’s Day he said he would work with me in the yard to freshen up our front flower beds. So my shade beds (that have challenged me for 3 years) got 8 varieties of Hasta and Hellebore. The sun beds are exploding with color and will only get better. I am so tickled with how everything turned out I just had to show it off.

The great spring plant migration of 2025. Not everything has liked going out in the sun. That would be the yucca.
