Excited and concerned when my Zulu Giant’s flower starts to bloom. It’s suppose crazy looking but stinky. 😬
Just when I thought that yellow leaf was a bad sign it was all because he was making room for a new leaf to come in. I’m glad I’m not heading in the wrong direction.

My birthday is in a few days and my husband and bonus kids took me shopping to get some plants! They both wanted to pick one out for me and pick the name out! We left with 4! Meet the newest members of the family! Tradenscantia is named Purple Princess, the white wizard is named Shark Tank, the adansonii is Megalodon and I picked out the pink Princess for myself who is now named Aurora! (All names were picked by the kids besides aurora which makes it fun for all of us lol)
It’s about that time. All of my Lithops are under three years old so I’m not sure - even with the “right” conditions - flowers are a possibility. Getting ready for the Fall splitting. Some quick Lithops trivia: They can live to be 40+ years old; they get 20 inches or less of rain per year, and some “rely on mist or fog as their main source of moisture “ (Wisconsin Horticulture); there are at least 37 species and 145+ varieties of Lithops; most of their body is devoted handling and balancing water.
New bromeliad his name is Samule
Good morning Babar, Scarlet, Queen, Dragon and Hot Flash!
This is Snoop my Frizzle Sizzle. Hehe. He doesn’t look super healthy, but he just arrived today, via mail. Fingers crossed, this guy survives. Last frizzle sizzle died within days of receiving.
This winter, my tradescantia wasn’t getting the sun it needed. It got green, leggy, and not something cute lol. I repotted it a month ago and hacked off all the tendrils down to the base. It’s like a completely different species after some good summer sun! ☀️🙃
Tips on keeping this one alive would be appreciated!
