Well it’s 12:38 am. Can’t sleep. And I have some needed repotting to do. Some for my older plants. And some I just got today. I have a few plants I acquired a while ago from Facebook marketplace. They were cuttings and they’re doing ok. I just don’t like the soil they’re in, it’s got the wet crushed Oreo look to it that I don’t like and it just doesn’t drain well. When I water them it takes forever for the water to finally start dripping. And then I have some plants from Menards that I need to split up and change soil cause they just hold water for way too long. I’ve skipped the watering/water check from the Planta app the past 2 times cause the soil is just still wet. 2 plants I got today are still growing roots, so they will remain in water for a bit. Also I’m still “new” to plants as of July of this year, so I haven’t done any propagation (except my fittonia the other day) yet or transitioning plants from water to soil. Wish me luck lol Update: repotting completed. Now they all have a great well draining soil mix that I use for all of my plants. All 4 bags get mixed together not all at once of course, I only mix what I’m using so it’s fresh. I don’t do measurements, I just kinda eyeball it. And it works lol P.s. I forgot to do my corn plant lol. That will also get split up as it’s already 2 separate plants.

I’m also awake doing plants. You must be central time. I’m eastern. I was gone for a week. Came home to almost 60 plants needing to be watered. Some are supposed to be fertilized too. But not now. Priority is to get them all watered. I have about 10 in leca which is a big help. I’ll be working on my watering tomorrow also. I’ve already had a couple glasses of wine to help me get thru this.

lol I just finished my repottings. Did 6 of them and one of them, “the wandering dude” aka “the wandering Jew” I split into two plants. That was a pain to do since all the stems were intertwined lol one is bigger than the other. Oh well. That’s how life goes haha

Same last night! I ended up repotting some impulse purchases I made earlier in the day, some that are being gifted, & drilling some holes in thrifted planters. I was really regretting not grabbing an amazing ficus ruby I saw at Schnucks yesterday.

I have a ficus ruby. It’s such a slow grower lol. I haven’t seen it make any changes since I bought it like2 months ago. Well looks like I lied lol there a red thing sticking out looks like I might FINALLY get some action lol

The one I saw was already at least 2' and pretty bushy. I've had my burgundy about 2 months and it's put out several new leaves and is growing bushier with new shoots. I wonder if it's just a difference in variety?

I believe so because my other ficus right next to it has grown a bit and I got them around the same time
